Veľký formát ako následník kinofilmu
…. ako bolo na počiatku, tak nech je i teraz, i vždycky, i naveky vekov. Amen.
To som sa nepomýlila, len som si uvedomila, aké boli na začiatku vzniku fotografie veľkoformátové kamery samozrejmé, lebo boli jediné. Až časom sa so zdokonaľujúcimi možnosťami zachytávania obrazu fotoaparáty postupne zmenšovali, až sa najbežnejším používaným filmovým rozmerom stal práve kinofilm 24 x 36 mm. S nástupom digitálnej technológie sa rozmer záznamového média ešte viac zmenšil a práve vďaka rozmachu a dostupnosti digitálnych technológií masám sa k svojej sláve opäť vracajú postupne väčšie formáty.
Zanietencov a nadšencov pribúda, historické techniky a alternatíva sa vracajú do života a fotoaparáty, ktoré kedysi boli bežné len v múzeu, začínajú byť bežné v uliciach, ale aj v každej domácnosti (KUFA do každej domácnosti).
Nemusíte sa usmievať, nie vždy totiž vyletí vtáčik.

I haven´t made a mistake in the title, I just realized that in the early times of photography large-format cameras were so common because they were the only ones. Over the time, when the means of capturing images became more elaborate, the size of cameras gradually reduced and the most commonly used film size became 24 x 36 mm. With the invention of digital technology, the size of the recording medium further reduced and this boom and availability of digital technology to the masses caused that larger formats have gradually returned to their glory days.
The number of fans and enthusiasts has grown, historical and alternative techniques have experienced revival and cameras that were once common only in museums are now becoming common in the streets and also in households (e.g. KUFA)
